From little flashlights
by Leila S. Goldberger
Kangaroo floaties, a bikini too
Little pink crocodiles and winnie the
pooh,
Crooked cartwheels, an apple tree swing
With the sweet smell of clover,
I first learned to dream.
Golden fields, through breezes blue
Warm wet rain and clean shampoo,
An arm shaped branch, turned to the sky
Cradles my visions, and clings to my thigh.
A circle of daisies and dragonflies,
Crown the leaves, that bring out my eyes.
